The REDA Pay Admin tab

The REDA Pay Admin tab is the administrator's home in the REDA Pay app: the two one-time switches that make the package work, and a dashboard that shows whether anything needs attention. It is visible to users with the REDA Pay - Admin User permission set.

Before you start — open the App Launcher, search for REDA Pay, open the app and click REDA Pay Admin.

The Admin tab: two switches and the health dashboard.

Encryption Key Setup

The card reads "REDA Pay "Encryption Key" is must for REDA Pay App to function. If the "Encryption Key" is not generated, generate the key using following button." The button reads Generate Key until the key exists and Generated afterwards. It is the first step of every setup and can be done once — see Generate the encryption key.

Sync Failed Pay Order Transactions

The card reads "System job to sync failed transactions againts a pay order in case of any runtime exceptions." The Job Scheduled toggle starts ("Batch job scheduled successfully.") or stops ("Batch job revoked successfully.") the every-15-minutes job that recovers payments whose outcome never reached Salesforce — see Turn on failed-payment recovery. Keep it on in production.

The REDA Pay - Admin dashboard

Under the two cards sits the dashboard REDA Pay - Admin ("Dashboard for REDA Pay Admin users to show system health and exceptions"). Its four tiles are the daily health check:

TileWhat it countsWhen it should be zero
Pending Disputed TransactionsPay Transactions flagged Pending Dispute Resolution — rejected payments awaiting your follow-upAfter each case is closed with a Dispute Resolution Date — see Disputes and rejected payments
Pay Logs - Attention NeededREDA Pay Logs with failures nobody has resolvedAfter each log is reviewed and given a Resolved Date Time — see When a payment fails
Unreconciled DepositsThe amount of deposit Statement Activities that are not yet good to reconcileAfter finance reconciles — see Reconcile deposits and payouts
Unreconciled PayoutsThe same for payoutsSame

Dashboards refresh on a schedule or when you click Refresh; the "As of" line shows the data's age. Each tile links to its report. The dashboard is also available from the app's Dashboards tab, next to the REDA Pay - User dashboard Banking Transactions - Overview for everyday users — see Reports and dashboards.

Reading the tiles: a worked example

An administrator opens the tab on Monday and sees Pending Disputed Transactions 0, Pay Logs - Attention Needed 36, Unreconciled Deposits $18K, Unreconciled Payouts $0.

  1. Thirty-six logs needing attention is far too many for one week. The administrator clicks the tile, which opens the Pay Logs - Attention Needed report grouped by process: most are from the scheduled-orders job in a single week last quarter, when a processing account had been deactivated. The cause is long fixed, so the administrator opens each log and sets Resolved Date Time; the tile returns to zero and future problems will stand out.
  2. $18K of unreconciled deposits means finance has fallen behind, or deposits contain payments Salesforce does not know. The administrator opens Reconciliation Errors on the Statement Activities tab: three deposits have unlinked lines from payments taken in the Payload dashboard. The administrator reprocesses them with Create Missing Transactions on, and finance reconciles the rest from Pending Reconciliation.
  3. Disputes and payouts need nothing today.

Ten minutes, and the dashboard is a reliable signal again.

Keeping the dashboard current

Dashboards show data as of their last refresh (the "As of" line). Click Refresh when you open the tab, or subscribe the dashboard to a daily refresh: open it from the Dashboards tab, click Subscribe, choose a time before your working day, and save. The same subscription can email the dashboard to the people who own the numbers.

Who should see this tab

The tab is granted by the REDA Pay - Admin User permission set. Staff who take payments, the refunds desk and finance do not need it and do not see it with their own permission sets.

Below the dashboard, three information tiles link to REDA One's resources, including the REDA Pay listing on the Salesforce AppExchange.

An administrator's weekly routine

  1. Admin tab: all four tiles at zero, or each non-zero item owned by someone.
  2. Setup → Scheduled Jobs: the daily recurring-payments job and Sync Failed Pay Order Transactions both listed with a Next Scheduled Run date.
  3. Pay Profiles → Webhook Setup: ten rows on each active profile.
  4. Pay Orders → Not Processed: nothing older than a day that should have been paid.
  5. Statement Activities → Reconciliation Errors: empty.

FAQ

It is stale, not wrong. Click Refresh, or schedule the dashboard to refresh daily (Salesforce dashboard settings).

Clone it and edit the clone; the packaged one is replaced on upgrades.

No — it reads Generated because the key exists.
