About REDA Financials AI

REDA Financials AI is an AI-powered accounting ERP built on the Salesforce platform. It is a horizontal accounting platform — industry-agnostic by design, equally at home in trading, services, manufacturing, technology, or non-profit organisations — with AI, automations, and Salesforce’s CRM embedded in the same system your books run on. Whether your organisation already uses Salesforce or is adopting it for the first time, REDA Financials serves as your complete accounting system — covering the full financial lifecycle from General Ledger and Accounts Receivable to Tax Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.

Whether you are a single-country business or a global enterprise operating across multiple countries, currencies, and legal entities — REDA Financials AI scales to your needs. AI is built into the accounting app itself — invoice scanning, bank-reconciliation matching and GL mapping all run inside REDA Financials, with their own usage tracking. It also works alongside REDA AI, the agentic AI platform, which is included in your subscription and installs as its own managed package alongside the accounting app — see the REDA AI documentation to set it up. Banking, payments, and reconciliation are powered by REDA Pay, handling both inbound and outbound payments, settlements, and bank statement reconciliation.

Getting there. Open the App Launcher (the grid icon at the top-left of any page) → REDA Financials AI to open the app. The day-to-day tabs (invoices, receipts, journals, banking, reports) live here; setup and configuration live in the companion REDA Financials Admin app.
Access you'll need. Any user assigned a REDA Financials permission set — Accounts Payable v2, Accounts Receivable v2, Accounting Controller v2, Accounting Admin v2, or Read Only v2 — can open the app. What you can do inside depends on which set: AP handles the purchase side, AR the sales side, Accounting Controller and Accounting Admin the general ledger and configuration, and Read Only can view but not change anything.
Built for international compliance REDA Financials is designed around international accounting standards and regulatory frameworks, including IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards; IAS 7, IAS 12, IAS 16, IAS 36, IFRS 15), US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles used in the US; ASC 360, ASC 606), SOX controls (Sarbanes-Oxley internal-control requirements — immutable ledger, field history tracking, segregation of duties), and global tax compliance (VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax / TDS) across 70+ country templates.
Built on Salesforce — open by design REDA Financials runs on the Salesforce platform, which means you get full access to the Salesforce APIs, the platform's own custom development and automation tools, and the entire AppExchange ecosystem. Every record and field in REDA Financials is accessible programmatically, making it a fully extensible accounting platform that integrates with your existing systems. You do not need to be an existing Salesforce customer — any company can adopt REDA Financials as their accounting ERP.

Who is REDA Financials AI for?

REDA Financials AI is built for businesses of any size — from single-country operations to global enterprises:

  • Need a modern, cloud-based accounting ERP — whether or not they already use Salesforce
  • Operate multiple legal entities across different countries
  • Need multi-currency accounting with proper foreign-exchange handling
  • Require compliance with international standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local tax laws)
  • Want AI-powered automation for invoice processing, bank reconciliation, and GL mapping
  • Need extensive API access and custom development capabilities to integrate with existing systems
  • Want a unified platform where CRM, accounting, and AI work together without middleware

Typical users include Accounting Controllers who manage the chart of accounts and period closures, AR Specialists who handle invoicing and collections, AP Specialists who process purchase orders and vendor payments, Banking teams who reconcile bank statements, and CFOs / Finance Directors who review financial reports and dashboards.

What modules are included?

REDA Financials ships as a single managed package. All modules are included — there are no add-on charges per module. Here is what you get:

Supported on all eight document types: Sales Invoice, Purchase Invoice, Cash Receipt, Cash Disbursement, Credit Memo, Vendor Memo, Journal Entry, and Purchase Order. Configuration-driven extensibility for custom columns.
Multi-Currency Works on both single-currency and multi-currency Salesforce orgs. Three-tier currency architecture: Document Currency (what the invoice is denominated in) → Entity Currency (the legal entity’s functional currency) → Corporate Currency (the group reporting currency). Automatic exchange-rate resolution from Salesforce's dated exchange rates, with optional automatic sync from Open Exchange Rates.
Intercompany Cross-entity settlement on both the AR and AP side, with bilateral entity-level consent. Automatic generation of IC Receivable / IC Payable offset Accounting Transactions. Per-entity balance validation on journal entries.

The REDA ecosystem

REDA Financials does not operate in isolation. It is part of a connected ecosystem of products that work together:

Product What it does
REDA AI An agentic AI platform built natively for Salesforce. REDA AI ships with REDA Financials and powers all AI-driven accounting workflows — including OCR invoice extraction, intelligent bank matching, self-learning GL mapping, and automated process orchestration. REDA AI operates across multiple channels: internal (Lightning), external widget, Experience Cloud portals, email, and API.
REDA Pay The payments layer for REDA Financials. REDA Pay handles inbound payments (collections, receipt processing), outbound payments (vendor disbursements, batch payment runs), payment settlements, and bank statement reconciliation. It connects your bank accounts to your accounting ledger in real time.
REDA Financials The core accounting ERP you are reading about. General Ledger, AR, AP, Tax, Assets, Budgets, and Financial Reporting. REDA AI and REDA Pay are integrated into the platform — they are not separate add-ons.

API & extensibility

Because REDA Financials is built on Salesforce, every object, field, and record is accessible through the full suite of Salesforce APIs:

  • REST API — create, read, update, and query any accounting record programmatically
  • SOAP API — enterprise-grade integration for legacy systems
  • Bulk API — import or export millions of records (journal entries, invoices, transactions)
  • Streaming API — real-time event notifications when accounting records change
  • Configuration deployment API — move custom configurations across environments

Beyond APIs, the platform supports:

  • Custom business logic — build custom logic that hooks into the posting engine, tax calculation, or any accounting workflow
  • Custom interface components — build custom UI components that embed alongside REDA Financials screens
  • Automated processes — automate accounting processes without code, using the platform's built-in automation tools
  • AppExchange ecosystem — connect to thousands of pre-built integrations (payment gateways, e-invoicing providers, expense management, payroll)
  • Configuration-driven extensibility — add custom accounting dimensions, form fields, and PDF columns without changing the installed package
  • Extension packages — REDA supports a provider-agnostic extension architecture for e-invoicing (e.g. Sovos for LATAM) and bank feeds (e.g. Plaid)
Not just for Salesforce shops You do not need to be an existing Salesforce customer to use REDA Financials. Any company can adopt it as their accounting ERP. Salesforce is the platform — REDA Financials is the product. Your finance team works in the accounting interface; the Salesforce platform runs silently underneath, giving you enterprise-grade security, scalability, and API access.

Key design principles

Double-entry integrity

Every financial transaction in REDA Financials produces balanced debit-and-credit Accounting Transactions. These records are immutable — once posted, they cannot be edited or deleted by any user or permission set. All writes go through a single centralised Posting Engine. This ensures your books are always balanced and audit-ready.

Transparent edit and delete

Users can freely edit or delete posted documents (invoices, receipts, journal entries). When they do, the system automatically and invisibly generates the correct reversal entries in the background. The user experience is simple; the audit trail is complete. This behaviour is controlled per entity, so you can enable it for some subsidiaries and lock it for others.

Multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-ledger

Each legal entity has its own functional currency, its own set of default GL accounts, and its own accounting periods. Entities are grouped under Territories (e.g. “India”, “United States”). Each entity can have multiple ledgers (Transaction for day-to-day operations, Budget for planning). The currency architecture supports a three-tier model for orgs that operate in multiple currencies.

Compliance-first

REDA Financials is built with international accounting standards at its core:

  • IFRS / IAS — IAS 7 (Cash Flow Statement), IAS 12 (Income Taxes), IAS 16 (Property, Plant & Equipment), IAS 36 (Impairment), IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition foundations)
  • US GAAP — ASC 360 (Asset Recognition), ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition foundations)
  • SOX Controls — Field history tracking on critical fields (status, amounts, relationships) across all objects, segregation of duties enforcement via permission sets, and a complete audit trail via immutable Accounting Transactions
  • Global Tax — VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax / TDS across 70+ country seed templates

Configuration-driven extensibility

Every source document (Sales Invoice, Purchase Invoice, Journal Entry, etc.) supports three configurable field lists:

  • Dimension list — custom accounting dimensions (e.g. Property, Department, Cost Centre) that automatically flow through to Accounting Transactions
  • On-screen field list — additional fields rendered on the New/Edit form without any code changes
  • PDF column list — custom columns added to PDF documents by extension packages

This means your implementation partner can add client-specific fields and dimensions without changing the installed package.

Security model

REDA Financials uses Salesforce’s native security model exclusively. There are no external databases, no API calls to third-party systems for core accounting operations, and no data stored outside your org.

  • 5 Permission Sets shipped with the package, covering Accounting Admin, Accounting Controller, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Read Only roles
  • Segregation of Duties enforced — the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sets are separate write scopes, and posted Accounting Transactions are read-only to every set
  • Field-Level Security respected everywhere — all database operations run in User Mode
  • Accounting Transactions are read-only across all permission sets — no user can directly insert, update, or delete posted ledger entries

For more detail, see Permission Sets Overview.

How REDA Financials AI compares

Teams evaluating REDA Financials usually weigh it against two kinds of alternatives: standalone accounting and ERP systems — such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or Xero — that run outside Salesforce, and other accounting apps built natively on Salesforce. The comparison below is deliberately at the level of architecture, not a feature-by-feature scorecard: every product’s exact capabilities and pricing change over time, so confirm specifics with each vendor. What doesn’t change is where the software lives — and that is REDA Financials’ core difference.

Consideration REDA Financials AI Standalone accounting / ERP
(e.g. NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero)
Other Salesforce-native apps
Runs inside your Salesforce org Yes — a managed package in your own org No — a separate system reached through an integration Yes
Customers & vendors are your CRM Accounts Yes — the same records your whole company works No — a synced copy in a second database Usually yes
One security & audit model Yes — inherits Salesforce permissions, sharing, login history and field history No — a second security model to manage and reconcile Yes
AI built in Yes — invoice OCR and AI bank matching, plus the companion REDA AI agent platform Varies by product Varies — often none
Global: multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-country tax Yes — out of the box, with tax content seeded for 70 countries Yes in enterprise ERP; limited in small-business tools Varies
What it takes to connect it to Salesforce Nothing — it is already in your org A connector or integration you build and maintain Nothing
Extends with native Salesforce tools (automation, reports, approvals, APIs) Yes — the whole platform applies to your books Its own separate toolset Yes
The short version. Against a standalone system, REDA Financials removes the integration entirely — your ledger and your customer records are one database under one security model, with no connector to build or keep in sync. Against other Salesforce-native apps, the difference is the embedded AI and the breadth of global, multi-entity accounting REDA ships out of the box. The honest caveat: REDA Financials runs on Salesforce, so if your organisation isn’t on the platform, a native solution is a poorer fit than a standalone one. See Why Salesforce-Native Accounting for the full argument.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on your current setup. REDA Financials is a full-featured accounting platform that handles GL, AR, AP, banking, tax, assets, and budgets. For organisations already on Salesforce, it eliminates the need for a separate accounting system and the integrations between them. If you currently use an external ERP solely for financials, REDA Financials can replace that module entirely.

No. All accounting data is stored in standard and custom Salesforce objects inside your org. The only external call is for AI features (OCR invoice scanning and AI bank matching), which send the document content directly from your org to the AI provider for processing; the result is stored back in your org, and REDA receives no copy. The provider does not use your content to train its models and deletes requests within 30 days by default under its published terms.

Yes. REDA Financials works on both single-currency and multi-currency Salesforce orgs. In single-currency mode, the currency picker is hidden, all documents use the org’s default currency, and the three-tier FX fields are populated at parity (rate = 1). No special configuration is needed.

There is no limit on the number of entities. Each entity represents a legal company or subsidiary with its own functional currency, default GL accounts, and accounting periods. Entities are grouped under Territories for regional reporting.

Yes. The platform is built with international accounting standards at its core, including IAS 7 (Cash Flow), IAS 16 (Fixed Assets), IAS 36 (Impairment), and the double-entry bookkeeping model required by both IFRS and US GAAP. SOX-relevant controls (field history tracking, segregation of duties, immutable ledger) are built in. Tax compliance covers VAT, GST, and WHT/TDS across 70+ countries.

Yes. REDA Financials is designed for configuration-driven extensibility. Partners can add custom accounting dimensions, custom form fields, and custom PDF columns without changing the installed package. The app also supports extension packages for e-invoicing (e.g. Sovos for LATAM) and bank feeds (e.g. Plaid) via a provider-agnostic architecture.
