Using REDA on Mobile
REDA runs inside the Salesforce mobile app — the same app your organization already uses on iOS and Android. Because REDA is built on the Salesforce platform, your properties, leases, inquiries, tickets, and inspections come along for the ride: the records, tabs, and list views you use on the desktop are available on your phone, wherever your work takes you. This article covers what to expect on mobile, the tasks it suits best, and where to go for the platform-level setup.
Access you’ll need. The same login and permission sets you use on the desktop apply on mobile; there is nothing extra to grant for basic access. Whether a user can use the mobile app is a Salesforce license setting your administrator controls.
What you get on mobile
The Salesforce mobile app is a full client for your REDA data, not a cut-down viewer. On your phone you can:
- Find and open records — search for a property, lease, inquiry, contact, or ticket and open it, the same way you would in a list view on the desktop.
- Read and update fields — see a record’s details, update the fields you have access to, and add notes or files (a photo from your phone’s camera, for example).
- Work your records — pick up the tickets (Move In, Renewal, Move Out, and the rest), work orders, and inspections assigned to you and move them along.
- Log activity on the go — record a call, log an event, or add a task against a record while you’re out.
Because it is the same platform, the business rules you rely on still apply: the validations that stop an incomplete lease from advancing, the tickets that drive stages, and the record access granted by your permission sets all behave identically on mobile.
Best for field work
Mobile shines for the parts of the job that happen away from a desk:
- Leasing on the go — pull up a prospect’s inquiry during a showing, check a unit’s availability and rent, or advance a lease while you’re with the applicant.
- Maintenance — log a service request the moment a tenant reports an issue, or update a work order from the site.
- Quick lookups — check a tenant’s balance, a lease’s dates, or a property’s owner between appointments.
How records look on a small screen
REDA’s record pages adapt to the phone: the record highlights appear at the top, and the tabs you see on the desktop (Details, related lists, Tickets, and so on) become a scrollable set of sections. Long forms are grouped the same way they are on the desktop, so a lease still reads as a lease. If a particular screen is arranged differently from what you expect, that is a layout your administrator can adjust — the arrangement of fields and sections is configurable per your organization.
A note on editions
Both editions of REDA — the Platform edition and the Sales Cloud edition — run in the Salesforce mobile app. What differs is not REDA but the underlying Salesforce license, which your administrator assigns; if a user should have mobile access and doesn’t, that is the setting to check. See REDA Editions: Platform vs Sales Cloud.

Frequently asked questions
No. REDA runs inside the standard Salesforce mobile app — download that, log in with your REDA credentials, and your REDA data is there.
Yes — open the inspection, work its checklist, add comments, attach photos from your camera, and mark it Completed on site. It’s the same inspection record you’d see on the desktop.
Mobile access is controlled by the user’s Salesforce license and your organization’s mobile settings, not by REDA. Your administrator can confirm the user is enabled for the mobile app.
